This BMI calculator was created by John Kruse and Caskey Dickson. John is the editor of FitMet and contributor. Caskey is a software programmer. Together, they came up with a BMI Calculator that will meet the needs of physical education and health teachers.
Previously, all Google Gadget BMI calculators used adult criteria that are not suitable for children. In addition, most Google Gadget BMI calculators use whole numbers for height and weight. Our BMI calculators allows for fractions of an inch. This is important since height squared is divided into weight for the BMI formula. A panel of experts formed by the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) also suggest measuring height to within 1/8 of an inch.
Now you can add a BMI calculator to your Web-page that is appropriate for your students. The calculator suggests the use of the Centers for Disease Control growth charts for BMI.
This calculator will really add to your professional image and both parents and students will be impressed.
